First Trip in 2010

Went out for the first time this year with Dad.

Had a great time at Beltsville. .

Location: Upper end of the lake near the Bridge.

Water was cold and clear.

I caught:

1- Brooke Trout 8" (to bad we weren't further south I would have grilled this one)

1- Prickle 6"

Dad caught

1- Prickle 9"

All in all not a bad day. We did see 1 Mink on the shoreline

Saturday 8/1/09 

Fishing in the AM with my Father. Fished at the Pocohoca Cove under bridge. Water was stained, current fast and depth about 1-2ft. Weather was great sun not too hot. Caught 1st fish, a Striped Bass 28" on a minnow floating on top. It put up a great fight. Caught the 2nd fish, a 15" Small Mouth Bass on a minnow with a small slip shot on the line. This one also gave a good fight. We fished between 9:30am-12. My Father had a Bass on but lost it before landing it.
